What this site is
Penrith Roofers is a local roofing service for Penrith and the Nepean. You describe the problem, we arrange a free inspection, and the work is carried out by established, licensed and insured roofing contractors working to NSW Fair Trading requirements.
This is a referral website. That is stated plainly in the footer of every page and set out in full on the disclaimer page, because you should know exactly who you are dealing with before anyone climbs a ladder at your place.
What that means in practice: one number to call, one point of contact, a written quote you can read, and a workmanship warranty on the completed job.
Why a Penrith-specific service
Roofs fail differently in different parts of Sydney, and this corner of the basin is a genuine outlier.
It is the hottest part of greater Sydney. Penrith Lakes holds the highest temperature recorded anywhere in the Sydney basin, 48.9°C on 4 January 2020, and Penrith City Council has spent a decade working on urban heat through its Cooling the City Strategy — mapping the hottest suburbs with UTS researchers and pushing cooler roof colours and materials for new development. For a roof, that heat shows up as rigid ridge mortar that crazes and crumbles years earlier than it would on the coast.
Then there is the storm exposure. Cells building over the Blue Mountains escarpment move out across the Cumberland plain and arrive with gusts that lift ridge caps whose bedding has already been weakened, and hail that cracks tiles without displacing them.
And the housing stock is genuinely varied. Post-war and 1970s brick-and-tile through South Penrith, Cambridge Park, Colyton and Werrington. Riverside streets at Emu Plains, Leonay and Regentville. Rural-residential acreage with large sheds and tank water at Mulgoa, Llandilo, Castlereagh and Londonderry. New Colorbond estates at Jordan Springs, Caddens and Claremont Meadows. A roofer who only knows one of those is guessing on the rest.
How a job runs
- You call (02) 4705 5100 or send the form. Tell us the suburb, the roof type if you know it, and what you have noticed.
- Free inspection. Someone gets on the roof — or puts a drone over it where access or pitch makes that safer — and looks in the roof space from inside. A ceiling stain is rarely under the hole.
- A written, itemised quote. What is being done, what materials, what is excluded, and what could reasonably wait. No obligation and no pressure. Plenty of people take the report and sit on it.
- The work. Scheduled with you, with site protection and clean-up included rather than assumed.
- Warranty. Completed work carries a written workmanship warranty.
What we will not do
We will not quote a figure down the phone, because the things that set the price are the things you cannot see from the kerb. We will not sell a restoration to someone whose tiles are delaminating, or a full replacement to someone who needs a section of repointing. And we will not tell you a job is urgent when it is not — if part of the roof can wait a season, the quote says so.
Where we work
Across the 25 suburbs of the Penrith and Nepean area, from the escarpment at Leonay through to Erskine Park, and from Londonderry down to Mulgoa.
